I was in the motor trade for over a decade before through illness’ I closed my garage & body shop. In 2006 I became seriously ill.

By the end of 2007 I was given approximately a year to live. By 2012 Very much alive although not in the best of shape I opened a specialist haulage company with a business partner that was also unwell. We delivered caravans mostly the very large German models. We delivered these all over the UK & Europe, 7 days a week. Sadly, John passed away around 2 years in, it was at this point I changed the name, branched out into all caravans & offered a trade only service. I became very popular with many shipping companies & an International customer base. I offered a safe & reliable service in an industry fraught with rogue traders, scams & hazards. It wasn’t long before the assisted purchase scheme was born. I partnered with Unsworth, by working together we further enhanced the caravan services that we both could offer. In 2017 I took on a new business partner & by mid 2020 the wife & I broke away from the haulage company.

We set up Valantean as a caravan broker agency for international trade. We used our extensive international haulier knowledge along with our assisted purchase knowledge & my experience within the trade to form what Valantean is today. We now have a newly built warehouse & lock up facilities for caravan storage, accessories with storage for our newly purchased fleet. We still work with Unsworth to this day only we are now a family owned & run business. We are growing year on year in the worst conditions for decades, becoming the UK’s leading caravan purchase agency for overseas businesses within the trade. ​
